Data analysis and visualisation is one of our most requested services. Data visualisation is a key step within the WRaPT process as it can allow you to:

  • Understand the scale of the challenge
  • Confirm the challenge
  • Assess future demand
  • Investigate further areas to review

We are experts in sourcing, analysing and presenting data that is meaningful to you – be that workforce, activity or both.
We work with you to collate the most appropriate data within your defined project area and then use various software / tools such Tableau, Infogram and even Excel to develop visuals of the information that you can then use to inform decision making and the next stages of your project.

Workforce data

Understanding the profile of your workforce is an essential first step in redesign or transformation. Our workforce template is flexible enough to be used across any organisation within health and social care, consistently collating data on roles, skill mix, age profiles, participation rates and much more to provide a single view of the workforce.

We have produced workforce baselines across the North West, some of our most significant pieces of baselining work are the Lancashire and Cumbria STP, Salford Neighbourhood team and Better Care Together LDS area. To read more about the Lancashire and South Cumbria baseline see the case study here (link). To find out more on how to create your own standard baseline report click here (link).

Activity data

We recognise that there are multiple sources of activity data recorded for one service area. To truly understand the care needs of the user of services and the service demand, all of these sources of information need to be brought together. Our data specialists in the WRaPT team can liaise with your BI team and data leads to ensure the right information is sourced. Our preferred tool to present activity visuals is Tableau.

Again, due to our multi-disciplinary team approach, we are able to draw on clinical expertise to verify the analysis, we can also work with your clinicians to understand the current challenges in delivering care that are apparent from the data analysis.
